Bulls in the Burg: Fun on a Student’s Budget

Looking to have a good time, but not trying to break the bank? You’re in luck! The Bulls in the Burg program offers discounts for USFSP students at tons of restaurants, cafés, and other attractions around St. Pete. Check out the list below for some of the best places to put your student ID to work.

The Cider Press Cafe (10% off): Vegans and meat-eaters alike can enjoy delicious raw vegan options at The Cider Press Cafe. All menu items are 100 percent  gluten, tofu, peanut, MSG, dairy, trans fat, and sugar-free, and with the wide variety of flavors on the menu, there really is something for everyone.

Kahwa Coffee (10% off): Though this local chain didn’t open its doors until 2006, Kahwa Coffee is a St. Pete staple. This café offers great coffee at even greater prices. Bonus: the Bayfront location is just blocks away from campus, making it perfect for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up.

Daddy Kool Records (10% off): If music is more your thing, then you have to check out Daddy Kool Records. Be sure to check out the discount section in the back: you never know what you’ll find. No vinyl? No problem! Daddy Kool has hundreds of CD’s in stock too.

Pipo’s ToGo (15% off): If you’re looking for a place to grab some authentic Cuban food, then look no further than Pipo’s. This takeout place tucked away on Central Ave offers everything from ropa vieja to Palomilla steak.

The Dali Museum (FREE): Beautiful architecture and artwork combine at the Dali Museum. Audio tours are free, and new exhibits arrive regularly, so be sure to check back often to see all that this museum has to offer.
