The Crow’s Nest is seeking staff for the 2012-2013 school year. The following positions are open, but The Crow’s Nest can only offer a limited number of paid positions. Paid positions will be offered based on previous experience, skill and necessity. For more information, and to apply, please see the attached PDF file.
Staff Writers (unpaid):
Writes articles for each issue of the paper for campus news, entertainment or sports section. Attends weekly staff meetings to talk about story ideas and receive story assignments. Knowledge of basic news writing a plus, but not required. Willingness to learn and use constructive criticism a must.
Staff photographers (unpaid):
Takes pictures for each issue of the paper for campus news, entertainment or sports section. Attends weekly staff meetings to talk about story ideas and receive photo assignments. Willingness to learn and use constructive criticism a must.
Staff Assistants (unpaid):
Same as staff writers and photographers, but with some light editing duties and the mild bonus of having a name on each week’s masthead. Will work directly under other staff members in an apprentice-style position. Ambition is a must.
