The short, one-week election season was the result of an amendment to the student constitution that will also appear on the ballot. The amendment will set election day earlier in the semester to coincide with USF Tampa so the USFSP student president can compete for a position on the USF Board of Trustees currently held by Tampa Student President Matthew Diaz.
Senators are also up for re-election, but since there are fewer senators competing than spots available, the race is uncontested.
Polls will be open from March 5 through 8, with locations on Harborwalk and in front of the Nelson Poynter Memorial Library. Students can also cast their votes through Blackboard.
