Food, fun and football: what to expect from USF’s 2023 Spring Game

For the first time since 2019, The University of South Florida will host the Spring Game on Friday, April 14, with kickoff beginning at 7 p.m. at Corbett Stadium in Tampa. Prior to game time, fans can arrive two hours early to experience Fan Fest.  

Before watching new coach, Alex Golesh, Todd Orlando, and 19 early enrollees, Bulls fans can enjoy food, fun and more beginning at 5 p.m. Fans can look forward to a list of events taking place, including, 

  • A Kid’s Zone – featuring face painting, balloon artist, caricature artist, inflatables, and photo ops.  
  • Food Trucks, concession stands, and Kona Ice 
  • A Beer Garden 
  • Live DJ with MC Greg Wolf 
  • Merchandise and Gear Booth 
  • Meet and Greet with Fowler Avenue Collective 
  • Free sampling locations from Fanta and Powerade 
  • Sponsor activities and giveaways 
  • 2023 football schedule magnet giveaway 
  • HOT band roadshow (15-minute performance on the field) 
  • Kick to Win Promo (Three USF students randomly selected for a chance to win $10K each) 

Fans will also have the chance to tailgate prior to gametime. Tailgating will be allowed in campus lots on Sycamore Drive and Yuengling Center lots. Anyone attending the game is also encouraged to bring blankets and utilize any of the grass seating areas surrounding the field.  

At the game, fans will experience the new head coach, Alex Golesh, in action after being hired last December. Prior to USF, Golesh led the nation’s No. 1 ranked offense as the offensive coordinator for the University of Tennessee. Fans will also be able to witness new defensive coordinator, Todd Orlando, and see what he’ll bring to the team for the upcoming 2023 season.  

Anyone who plans to attend the game must register in advanced for a free ticket by following this link. The game will also be streamed live on ESPN+ and can be heard on 102.5 and Bulls Unlimited on TuneIn.
