This weekend will mark the first matchup between the University of South Florida Bulls and the University of Miami (UM) Hurricanes in over a decade.
The two teams haven’t played against each other since 2013 and it is much anticipated by fans as it takes place on Sept. 21 during Parents Weekend.
This long-awaited game was made possible thanks to a financial arrangement, with UM paying USF to play.
It’s an exciting opportunity for the Bulls to play another ranked team, having previously played Alabama who is No. 4, and UM ranking at No. 8.
After six games between the Bulls and Hurricanes throughout time, Miami has won the series overall. Although the outcomes have been unfavorable, USF’s only win occurred in 2010 when they won 23–20. Here is a glimpse into their past:
– Oct. 1, 2005 – USF 7, UM 27 (Loss)
– Nov. 28, 2009 – USF 10, UM 31 (Loss)
– Nov. 27, 2010– USF 23, UM 20 (Win)
– Nov. 19, 2011 – USF 3, UM 6 (Loss)
– Nov. 17, 2012 – USF 9, UM 40 (Loss)
– Sept. 28, 2013 – USF 21, UM 49 (Loss)
For fans coming to enjoy Parents Weekend, there’s plenty happening beyond the game.
The Bulls Bay Family Fun Zone opens at 4 p.m., with face painting, games, caricatures, and more to entertain all ages. Parking lots at Raymond James Stadium open at 2 p.m., so there’s enough time to enjoy the pre-game festivities before kickoff at 7 p.m.

Now, viral TikTok songs like “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter, dominate our ears. A lot has changed in the last decade, maybe USF will stand a chance.
