The University of South Florida football team has revealed its 2025 schedule, totaling twelve games for the season.
The schedule, released by the American Athletic Conference (AAC) on Feb. 28, marks the third season under head coach Alex Golesh. Kickoff times and television arrangements will be announced at a later date.
USF faces one of the toughest non-conference schedules in program history, taking on three teams ranked in The Athletic’s “Way-Too-Early Top 25”: No. 11 Florida, No. 15 Miami, and No. 21 Boise State.
The Bulls have never played three Associated Press poll-ranked teams in non-conference play, having only faced two in a season twice before. The Bulls had faced two ranked non-conference opponents in a season in 2024, when they played No. 4 Alabama and No. 8 Miami. If preseason rankings hold, this will be the sixth consecutive season that USF faces at least one ranked non-conference opponent and the 17th time in the last 20 seasons.
USF will open the season at home with a Thursday night showdown against Boise State on Aug. 28. This will be the first meeting between the two programs, with the Broncos coming off a 12-2 season, a Mountain West Championship, and an appearance in the first 12-team College Football Playoff.
The Bulls will then travel to the University of Florida on Sep. 6 and Miami on Sep. 13 for two consecutive road games. The team will return to Raymond James Stadium to wrap up non-conference play against South Carolina State on September 20.
After an early bye week, USF will begin conference play with back-to-back Friday night matchups. The Bulls will host Charlotte on Oct. 3 at Raymond James Stadium, looking to build on last year’s 59-24 victory.
The team will then travel to North Texas on Oct. 10 for their first meeting with the Mean Green since 2002. The homecoming game is set for Oct. 18 against FAU, with USF holding a 4-2 series lead after last year’s 44-21 victory in Boca Raton. The Bulls will then visit Memphis on Oct. 25, aiming to end a four-game losing streak against the Tigers, who lead the series 9-4.
Following its second bye week, USF will return home for a Thursday night matchup against UTSA on Nov. 6. The Bulls fell to the Roadrunners, 49-21, in their only previous meeting in 2023.
The final three conference games include road trips to Navy on Nov. 15 and UAB on Nov. 22, followed by a Senior Day home game against Rice on Nov. 29. USF will look to even the series with Navy, which they trail 3-2, and break a 2-2 deadlock with UAB. The Rice series is tied at 1-1 after USF’s 35-28 loss in Houston last year.
The AAC championship game will feature the top two teams from the conference standings and is set for either Dec. 5 or Dec. 6.
Spring practice will begin this month on March 25, with USF pro day scheduled for March 26. The annual Spring Game will take place at Corbett Stadium on April 26.
