Destin Conrad brought R&B lovers’ dreams to life on Sept. 27 at Jannus Live. Born in Tampa, the St. Petersburg stop on Conrad’s “Love on Digital” tour was his homecoming and a sea of impeccably-dressed fans welcomed him back with open arms.
A little over a year ago, Conrad performed at Jannus Live during his “Submissive” tour. This time, he returned with not one, but two new projects: his debut album “Love on Digital” and his alt-jazz follow-up “wHIMSY,” released just three months later.
“Love on Digital” was Conrad’s nod to early 2000s R&B and his set paid tribute to the new millennium by blending his own tracks with classic R&B hits.
He also brought along singer-songwriters and frequent collaborators Mack Keane, who opened the show, and Ambré, who made a surprise appearance.
