Banned Books Week returns to St. Petersburg

Banned Books Week has returned to the city of St. Petersburg. Here are some of the events happening from Oct. 5-11, as well as year-round offerings.

Tombolo Books, Oct. 5 -11 

Tombolo Books has teamed up with their neighbors at Black Crow Coffee Grand Central for a Banned Books Week Giveaway. 

With the purchase of a specialty Banned Books Week drink and a Banned Book of your choice to donate to the American Stage Library, participants can pick a free ARC (advanced reader copy) and enter their name to win a stack of books. 

Keep St. Pete Lit 

Keep St. Pete Lit has its Banned Books Library available as a free resource in the American Stage lobby located at 163 3rd Street North, St. Petersburg, FL, 33701 

The event is supported by a coalition of organizations, which include, but are not limited to, the American Library Association, the American Society of Journalists and Authors, PEN America, and Penguin Random House.

The American Library Association also provides a list of Banned Book Week events at the national level.
