By The Crow’s Nest Staff

As media is ever-evolving, so are we at The Crow’s Nest. With a new semester upon us we have decided to make some indefinite changes to the newspaper.

We are currently understaffed and in the process of hiring students for our five vacant positions –– News Editor, Arts and Life Editor, Opinion and Features Editor, Multimedia Editor and Marketing Manager.

With all of these positions open, we have found ourselves in a place where we cannot print a weekly newspaper –– for now.

The Crow’s Nest staff understands the great responsibility we serve to the St. Petersburg campus community by keeping them informed and up to date with all the breaking news and fun events that surround us. That is why we have taken the decision to publish a biweekly newspaper until further notice.

This will give us the opportunity to step back and reassess our priorities, produce better content and make the most out of our jobs.

With that being said, we want to encourage all new and returning students to become a part of The Crow’s Nest, whether that is applying for one of the available paid positions or becoming a contributor. We accept students from all majors and experience levels eager to take on the opportunity to build your resume, make your voice heard and engage with the community.

Artists of all types are welcome, whether you like to take photos or videos, write poems, make illustrations or more.

A full description of the open positions is available on our Instagram @usfcrownest and if you have any questions regarding anything Crow’s Nest related, feel free to email our Editor-in-Chief at sgarciavargas@usf.edu

Even though it is a big change for the newspaper, we are excited to improve ourselves and what we produce to make content more enjoyable for our readers, as well as meeting and engaging with new people that are as passionate about the media industry as we are.
