World of Beer opens downtown St. Pete location

Just in time for finals and breaks from holiday cheer, World of Beer opened its new downtown St. Petersburg location on Nov. 21. The up-and-coming franchise offers its standard 40 beers on draft and hundreds more available in bottles, and is open until 3 a.m. seven days a week. Specials run Monday through Thursday, and live local music plays every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night from 9 p.m. until midnight or 1 a.m. World of Beer does not offer food, but nine restaurants have signed up to deliver to the new location with no service charge, and a brick oven pizza joint is going up next door.
