The Crow’s Nest is flying into the University of South Florida St. Petersburg this fall with a ton of exciting changes in tow, and we want you to be a part of them.
We’re rethinking our entire publication#working hard all summer to bring you an all-new design, logo, website and level of dedication to USFSP. Our new Web logo at the top of this article is just a small glimpse of the many changes to come. It’s out with the old and in with the new, and we’re giving one lucky USFSP member the opportunity to be a part of it.
We’re retiring our old slogan, “Navigating the news for USF St. Petersburg”, and giving students, alumni, faculty and staff the ability to make history by imagining a brand new slogan for our newly freshened publication. From The New York Times‘s “All the News That’s Fit to Print” to Mason Valley News‘s “The Only Newspaper in the World That Gives a Damn About Yerington”, newspapers all across the country have bold, witty, funny and straightforward slogans that define them as a publication.
Post your suggestion for The Crow’s Nest‘s new slogan on our Facebook page or tweet it to us @usfcrowsnest for a chance to win a $25 gift card to The Tavern and a short write-up about yourself in our second issue of the semester. You can post as many original suggestions as you want, but keep in mind that only the best suggestion will make it into the paper.
The contest ends on August 26, the last day of the first week of the fall 2011 semester, so get your submissions to us soon.
