USFSP ranked No. 36 in new report

U.S. News and World Report’s best colleges ranked USF St. Petersburg No. 36 among public regional universities in the South. The 2012 edition is the first time USFSP placed on the ranking, released on Sept.13.

The report used several factors when determining rank—peer assessment, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, graduation rate performance, alumni giving and retention.

USFSP is the first regional institution with independent accreditation in the USF system. The school stands out with the waterfront setting, downtown St. Petersburg bustle, smaller classes and undergraduate research.
