Online mag has health insights for students

For students with questions about landing a summer job, handling a stubborn roommate, or new ways to get fit, Student Health 101, an online publication distributed by the USFSP Health & Wellness Center, aims to have the answers.

The publication is custom-made for individual universities by a group of college health professionals and designers, and contains articles on nutrition, fitness, study skills, relationships and other college-relevant topics.

“Students will gain a wealth of knowledge on a variety of health and wellness topics,” said USFSP Clinical Director Anita Saghal, who sends the monthly e-magazine to all students’ inboxes. “Each issue covers five to seven topics, so it’s very comprehensive.”

One page features events at USFSP like the Jan. 18 Get On Board Day. Another, UCookbook, has healthy and easy-to-learn recipes.
The health center began distributing the magazine since 2010. A new issue is available each month from August to June.
