The University of South Florida celebrates another achievement as its online graduate programs clinch notable positions in the 2024 Best Online Programs rankings recently unveiled by U.S. News & World Report.

The rankings reveal USF’s steady ascent in delivering top-notch online education, with several programs securing coveted spots nationally.

Leading the charge is USF’s online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program housed within the Muma College of Business, rising to the 22nd position.

This remarkable feat signifies a substantial leap of 73 spots over the past five years.

Moreover, the same MBA program garnered recognition in specialized categories, securing the 20th spot for best business analytics and the 40th position for veterans’ programs.

USF’s commitment to excellence extends beyond MBA offerings, with the university’s online graduate business program, excluding MBA, claiming the 23rd spot for veterans and the 52nd overall position.

Additionally, USF’s online graduate engineering program earned the 58th spot, while the online graduate education program secured the 70th rank, showcasing the university’s diverse range of quality offerings in various disciplines.

Expressing pride in the institution’s achievement, USF President Rhea Law remarked in a press release, “The University of South Florida is proud to be recognized for having some of the nation’s best online programs.”

She emphasized USF’s dedication to delivering top-tier online instruction that caters to both the educational needs of students and the workforce demands of the Tampa Bay region and the broader state of Florida.

Interim Dean of the USF Muma College of Business, GJ de Vreede, underscored the institution’s commitment to equipping students with cutting-edge skills essential for today’s job market.

“We are proud of the rigorous, relevant education we provide through our online graduate programs,” de Vreede said.

He emphasized that graduate students emerge with crucial business acumen in areas such as artificial intelligence and analytics, meeting the evolving demands of employers.

The U.S. News methodology evaluates various criteria for graduate online programs, including graduation rates, admission requirements, faculty credentials, and student support services, among others. This comprehensive approach ensures a thorough assessment of each program’s quality and effectiveness.

USF’s consistent recognition for academic excellence further solidifies its standing among top-tier institutions.

Earlier in September, USF secured a position among the top 50 public universities in U.S. News’ annual ranking of the best colleges in America for the fifth consecutive year. Additionally, USF’s invitation to join the prestigious Association of American Universities in 2023 solidifies its commitment to research and scholarly excellence.
