USF St. Petersburg officially announced a change to the school logo on Jan. 5. Regional Vice Chancellor of External Affairs Helen Levine sent a memo to the USF St. Petersburg community, which included images of the changed logo.
The university logo has been adjusted to incorporate all the initials of the school: USFSP. All five initials are now included in the official logo, with gold lettering and a green background. The USF St. Petersburg campus already has two signs displaying the “USFSP” logo.
The new logo was created to express USF St. Petersburg’s distinct position within the USF system according to the memo. The logo change is effective immediately, but departments are urged to use all materials with the old logo first before ordering new materials. All members of the USF St. Petersburg community are urged to spread the word about the new logo and use and display it when possible, according to the memo.
